Please take notice that a meeting of the L’Anse Township Planning Commission will be held on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Hall, 126 N Main Street, L’Anse Michigan. At this meeting, the Planning Commission will consider and hold a public hearing on possible amendments to the L’Anse Township Zoning Ordinance regarding wind energy conversion systems.

The Planning Commission is receiving written comments concerning the proposed amendments at the Township Hall, 126 N Main Street, L’Anse Michigan.  Comments must be received by the Township prior to the start of the public hearing on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.  A complete copy of the proposed amendments is available for inspection at the Township Hall, 126 N Main Street, L’Anse Michigan, and may be examined during the Township’s regular business hours.

This notice is posted in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and published in compliance with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, 2006 P.A. 110.

Recreation Committee

The L’Anse Township Board is currently seeking community members who would like to become a part of it’s newly created Recreation Committee.  This committee is being formed in order to organize and further the development of the Meadowbrook field.

 

L’Anse Township, in partnership with the Village of L’Anse, has a current recreation plan in place, including current survey results that will aid in the development of the field property.  We are in search of community members who have a desire to further develop and implement these plans to make this property an integral part of our community.  If you or someone you know would be interested in being an active part of this committee, please contact Clerk Kristin Kahler at clerk@lansetownship.org

The regular monthly meeting for March will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 4:00 pm via Zoom.
